At Windermere Real Estate, we believe that “small actions make big impacts.” This sentiment was brought to life last Friday during our annual Community Service Day—a cherished tradition that has been uniting our teams and strengthening communities for over 40 years.
Across Windermere
Each year, Windermere Real Estate offices across the West dedicate a special day to step away from our desks and step into the heart of our communities. For 41 years and counting, Windermere Community Service Day has been a beloved tradition that gives our agents and staff a chance to roll up our sleeves and work on hands-on projects that make a meaningful difference.
Here on Whidbey
This year, our Windermere Oak Harbor and Coupeville offices partnered with the Whidbey Camano Land Trust to support one of the island’s most beautiful natural spaces: the Strawberry Point Preserve. From trail clearing to plant weeding and even some heavy-duty gravel hauling, our crew jumped into action to help maintain and beautify this beloved trail system. Thanks to the combined effort (and some serious muscle), we were able to completely clear the back loop of the trail. We also spruced up the parking area and ensured native plants had room to thrive, all while soaking up the fresh island air and enjoying the camaraderie that comes with giving back.
Connected to both land and people
We were deeply touched to receive this kind note from the Land Trust afterward: “Not only did you complete clearing the back loop of the trail (in two hours! I couldn’t get that done even with motorized tools), but also weeding and saving the plants around the parking and all your brave souls that muscled that gravel up on the trail. All visitors are going to be very grateful to you all!” Community Service Day is more than just a tradition. It is a reminder of how connected we are to the land and people around us. Whether it’s clearing trails, updating buildings, or helping the elderly as we have done in recent years these projects help us stay grounded in what matters most: people, place, and purpose. We’re already looking forward to next year. Until then, we’ll keep showing up for our neighbors—not just one day a year, but every day. Thank you to the Whidbey Camano Land Trust for the opportunity to serve and thank you to our team for bringing the heart and hustle.
See you on the trails!
