Wedged between farm fields and a beach on the northeast shore of Penn Cove, Lyle Ridge is one of the few gated communities on Whidbey Island. More than 40 homes were constructed inside the secure neighborhood and were built around the same time. Homes in the neighborhood are more than 3,000 square feet in size and typically have four bedrooms.
The Blue Fox Drive-In, one of the few remaining drive-in movie theaters remaining in Washington state, is located blocks away from Lyle Ridge. 3 Sisters Beef operates out of a historic fire station in the San de Fuca area. The neighborhood is located inside the northern boundary of Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve, which is an entity of the National Park Service.
