Centrally placed between Oak Harbor and Coupeville, families will enjoy more options for education because the neighborhood is located in both the Oak Harbor and Coupeville school districts. The neighborhood also enjoys a minimal amount of traffic even though Highway 20 is a short distance away.
"Fun fact... this neighborhood has its own sewer system even though it is in the county! This neighborhood has everything from small 1960's homes to larger homes with a view of Penn Cove. But everywhere is just a few blocks to public beach access at Monroe Landing (also a boat launch!)" ~Anderson
A small beach neighborhood that has an eclectic mix of older and newer homes, Penn Cove Park is a quiet community on the north shore of its namesake. Located on the water, the neighborhood also enjoys views of Penn Cove, Saratoga Passage and the historic Town of Coupeville. Residents have access to a private beach and a boat ramp.
Government services and health care are found in Coupeville as well as a quaint downtown filled with restaurants, galleries, shops, and a museum. Oak Harbor, located north of Penn Cove Park, is the commercial center of Whidbey Island as well as home to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Closer to the neighborhood is 3 Sisters Beef, which is a family-owned farm that has a store at the former San de Fuca fire house. Several small churches are also located near the neighborhood.
